We have never used plastic carrier bags at Rainbow Rebel.  Instead a family in India hand screen print these tote shopping bags on a Fair Trade basis, the body of which is made from a mixture of recycled paper and cotton.  A small recycled plastic tab (from water bottles) is used at the base of each handle to strengthen it.  We have had customers come back to us a year later to reuse the same bag!  These bags are biodegradable, recyclable and made to last.  Selling them on here at cost, including shipping cost as customers keep asking for them!
