These beautiful notebooks have been made in Nepal on a Fair Trade basis for us from sustainable bark with beautiful hand screen printed covers. Each notebook contains approximately 40 sheets - 80 pages of unbleached natural paper made from the bark of the Daphne Cannabina of Papyracea. Known in Nepal as Lokta, it is found at altitudes of around 2000m with a bark which regrows every 6-8 years. The bark is collected in a sustainable manner to not kill the trees and is carefully made into beautiful paper for these notebooks.
